In our profession, we are finding that the public are always on the lookout for that perfect place to live, and what could be more perfect than designing your own house on a plot of land with all of the features and spaces you would love to have available to you?

Developing a plot of land is always a valuable asset for those who want to create their dream homes from scratch – they are able to specify everything from rooms, room sizes, layout, appearance, landscaping etc, exactly as they would like to for their forever home.

This stunning, 4 bed, new build property has been built on the site of what was originally a virtually unused plot of land, with exception to some material storage space for the family business.

The land owners, a lovely, down to earth family and business owners, wanted to get into the development aspect of the property game and felt this was the perfect time to transform their unused land and turn their dreams into a reality!

PROJECT DETAILS

The Final Designs

The plot of land, approximately 0.6 acres is situated in the beautiful district of Tendring. This project needed to obtain full planning permission and gain statutory approvals, which we at Invent Architecture & Design assisted the land owners with throughout the entire process. We also happily helped them in the overall design of these two new build properties, which offer both a modern and spacious design that blends seamlessly into the surrounding natural features. The two properties each offer 4 bedrooms (2 with ensuites), with the master bedroom featuring a large Juliet Balcony with Frameless Glass Balustrading, overlooking a spacious garden, perfect for the hot summer months. The front of the properties feature a light and airy door/entrance point which include Velux Rooflights in the porch for additional light. There is a feature Roof Lantern (LED Strip in Reveal) on the flat roof, with Parapet Wall to improve appearance. There is a large sized living room/snug environment with a Fireplace with Log Burner and Oak Mantle Piece on the right elevation, leading to an external Chimney, plus Brickwork Plinth with Render above to finish. The space offers spacious views of the garden via the ample sized Bi-Folding Doors that serve the rear of the property. The kitchen offers a spacious island and also features Bi-Folding Doors facing the large garden. The ground floor also has a large utility room and WC. We have had a brilliant relationship with the owners ever since we first got in touch with them, this whole project has been an absolute joy to work on throughout and we continue to work with them on future projects to this day.
