Here at Invent Architecture & Design, we take immense pleasure in witnessing the transformation of our designs into reality, and this project is no exception. The impeccable quality of work and meticulous attention to detail, both inside and out, has filled us with abundant satisfaction.

In early 2021, our client from Colchester sought our expertise to explore the idea of extending their home, encompassing both a porch and a rear extension. Having previously collaborated closely with a family member on design projects, they possessed a good understanding of our creative process, knowing how we could bring their conceptual ideas and sketches to life for them.

The Final Designs

As is often the case with our many extension projects, the conservatory structure stood as our initial focal point. With the client's full approval, we decided on a complete removal and replacement, opting for a solution that marries both elegance and thermal efficiency – a far cry from the discomfort of sweltering summers and freezing winters that were once experienced. When combined with the adjacent room in the main house, our final designs yield an approximate 30 square meters of versatile space. This area now serves as an inviting hub for work, dining, entertainment, and social gatherings (no matter which season). Furthermore, the front porch extension boasts a new restroom and ample storage space for coats, boots, and outdoor gear, all thoughtfully designed to enhance functionality without encroaching on the ground-floor rooms. This project has been an absolute delight to be a part of from its inception to its successful completion. The client is exceptionally satisfied with the final outcome, and we are delighted to be able to add this project to our portfolio too.
