Why move when you can improve? This is one of the very questions we are asked in our line of business on a regular basis.
Our Colchester based client approached us in 2019 with a vision of removing the original standing orangery at the rear of their home, and replacing it with a large extended kitchen/diner in order to achieve a larger space for family time and entertaining. We were of course, more than happy to help them with their journey through the process of the planning and building regulations applications.
We worked very closely in tandem with our clients to achieve their dream extension as they already had a strong idea of what they wanted, and we sought permissions for their design via the householder planning application.
The new space now offers a range of natural light sources through a set of symmetrical bi-folding doors, which boast an anthracite grey finish to match the soffits and fascias of the existing property, two Velux rooflights from the vaulted ceiling and not forgetting the high-level side window above the beautifully finished off white granite worktops and stainless-steel sink – all of this extra light flows nicely into the extended area, as well as the families existing dining room through a set of glazed french doors.
