Deciding to make a major improvement to your home’s structure and appearance is one of the most exciting (albeit stressful) decisions a homeowner can make. This is often the culmination of years of thoughtful planning on how best to achieve that dream space which perfectly encapsulates your vision. Depending on the scale of your plans, this can also be a costly enterprise which is all the more reason that when you finally commit to a project of this size and cost, you want nothing but the very best contractor to turn your dream into reality.

Not all homeowners are fortunate enough to procure the right team to bring their vision to life the first time round, as was the case with the owners of this 3 bedroom family home in North Colchester. We however, were happy to adopt this project and liaise with our client to bring their specifications to fruition, delivering a finished project to the exact requirements which they were most grateful to receive.

Our client intended to completely reconfigure their ground floor space by using existing environments, combined with new areas created by the extension to the rear of the property forming one large kitchen, living and dining area for the whole family to socialise in together. The renovation also enabled new rooms at ground floor, including a utility room, downstairs toilet, plus additional living area off of the main new combined kitchen, dining and living space.

The Final Designs

We delivered an extended area of 53 square metres in which the household can live, work, dine and entertain, with the extension featuring 2 large sets of grand Bi-Folding doors to give full views of their new rear garden (incorporating a brand new patio area as well). 3 large Velux rooflights have been added to offer plentiful natural light into the whole room, and the whole project has left a much better and more effective use of the available layout at ground floor level.
