Everyone knows that the kitchen is the heart of any home, whether it’s for family mealtimes, entertaining, or sitting down together after a hard day’s work – the kitchen is simply the place to be.

Our clients from Ipswich wanted to make better use of their ground floor by reconfiguring the entire layout and extending out to both the side and to the rear, we were of course delighted to make their vision come to life!

In producing concept layouts that they desired, giving their vision the touches they wanted to see, we took these plans through to the final drawings for our clients.

In arranging the required approvals, we utilised both the Householder Planning Application and a Permitted Development Application routes.

The Final Designs

As a young family, their dream was to make access to the garden easier for everyone whilst gaining an open plan kitchen/diner with a great amount of light flow – this area of the property was previously a very dark one. The new layout now hosts an impressive roof light above the new flat roof and a wide set of bi-folding doors at the back, letting a natural light flow throughout the home and offering an incredible view of their garden, so they can sit and watch the children play with a cuppa. The kitchen/diner in itself is a scene of beauty, the interior design our clients have gone for has truly made the perfect use of the space we created for them. Housing navy blue cabinets, an island with a double sink and brass tap for the modern look, whilst sitting opposite a 5 hob Rangemaster. It was an absolute pleasure working with our clients to produce this design. They were extremely grateful for the additional help we offered when things got complex through the planning process and are one very happy family with their new and improved spaces! The builder was also very proficient in making the designs a reality for them, carefully applying great attention to detail in the build process.
