In the modern world, lifestyles of homeowners can change quickly, and properties should reflect the needs of the owners. Our clients, a young couple who own a 3 bed semi detached property in Diss, Norfolk, have a developing lifestyle, which in turn meant they required additional space within their home to achieve this.
With plans already in place to extend the property to the rear, the clients decided to renovate the property in its entirety to maximise potential space, and what better time to do so than whilst the extension works were being carried out. Their aim was to have the entire project completed in one go.
The plans were ambitious, and with a social style of design in mind, included wide, open style patio doors at the rear of the kitchen at ground floor level, overlooking the garden space. Also included was a large kitchen area at ground floor level, which ties in with a snug environment too, all in a T shaped layout. At first floor, a large master bedroom with dressing room off, and a new family bathroom at the front of the property which overlooks the driveway. There was also a reconfiguration of the existing landing area to form a bedroom where the new master bedroom was originally located.
